This is the debut album by the Aloha Steamtrain.
If the Moody Blues, the Kinks, and the Beatles had a baby it would sound a lot like Girl Planet. This is the album that thrust Lord Russ and the Aloha Steamtrain into the forefront of mid-nineties psychedelia. Songs about LSD, sex, and rabble-rousing friends make this record irresistible! The band was a three-piece at this point and recorded Girl Planet themselves on a borrowed digital 8-track recorder. The chemistry between the 'core three' became very evident with this release. It was a breath of fresh air in a saturated market of alt-country bands at that moment in time...as usual, bucking trends, and being true to their unique musical vision.
